Less than a month before the start of the hurricane season, the Acting official was launched to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
A FMA spokesman did not provide any reason for the dismissal, but he confirmed that the insurance magazine reports that Cameron Hamilton had been removed from the position he had occupied since he was appointed by President Donald Trump in late January.
The spokesman said David Richardson is now Fema.
Richardson since January has been the Assistant Secretary of the Weapons Office of the Ministry of Internal Security. He previously served as a fighting officer in the US Navy, according to the Ministry of National Security.
The news of Hamilton’s launch was first reported by Politico, who said that the Deputy Minister of Internal Security recounts Edgar and Trump Corrie Lewandowski, Hamilton launched early May 8 at the Internal Security headquarters.
Hamilton’s dismissal came a day after the testimony in the hearing of the Credit Committee in the House of Representatives. In prepared statements, Hamilton told the sub -committee that Fema “moved away from its basic mission and developed into excessive federal bureaucracy.”
“Instead of being the last resort, Fema is now used frequently by countries as a preliminary response and financial response to the routine problems that should be dealt with locally,” Hamilton continued. “This imbalance has strengthened the culture of dependency, waste and incompetence, while delaying the cash assistance of the Americans in real need.”
Hamilton admitted that Trump’s establishment of a review board of the FBA and said he “respects the independence of the council review” and “welcoming his recommendations.”
Evan Greenberg CEO of Chubb is one of about ten members of the review council.
However, according to reports, Hamilton told the members of the sub -committee that he does not believe that it is in the country’s interest to eliminate Fema.
Trump was a critic of FEMA. While touring the areas affected by the California and North Carolina forests earlier this year, Trump talked about the “ginger”, which cannot be done without the approval of Congress. He described the agency as “very great disappointment.”
