California -based Alkeme has announced its acquisition of the Becker Benefit Group collection, the TOWSON Employee Agency, Maryland. This represents the first acquisition of Alcim in the state.
Becker Benefit Group offers the health care benefits, and risk management advice to companies and individuals. Gary Baker founded it more than 30 years ago.
“This acquisition is an important milestone as our first in Maryland and a testimony to our commitment to expanding our benefits practices in the main markets,” said Cortis Barton, CEO of Alkeme Insurance.
Alkeme is a fully services insurance agency that provides commercial and personal insurance, employee and executive benefits, pension services and wealth management. Since its establishment in 2020 by six owners of agencies who decided to integrate, Alkeme has completed more than 50 acquisitions. It now has 60 sites in 24 states. Alkeme has been classified by Journal Insurance Journal one of the 35 best agencies in the country.
